The Non-Fiction Comics Festival: Ben Passmore
From science to politics, history to health care, cartooning has exploded as a legitimate medium for exploring non-fiction topics and the textures of lived experience. Phoenix Books is excited to join The Non-Fiction Comics Festival to host Ben Passmore, author and illustrator of Black Arms to Hold You Up!

Ben is the author of the ongoing comic book series Daygloayhole, as well as the Eisner Award-nominated and Ignatz Award-winning comic collection Your Black Friend. He also wrote and illustrated Sports Is Hell, collaborated with Ezra Claytan Daniels on BTTM FDRS, and contributes to publications such as The Nib and The New York Times.
